God is seeking those who will worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). Worship is crucial to the life of the church and the people of God. The Christian life is not a life of isolation, but a life of assembling together with other believers to proclaim the glory of God and encourage one another.
At Omaha Reformed, we see worship not only as singing or music but as all-inclusive of everything we do when we gather together as God's people. We serve a precise God, and God has told us precisely how he is to be worshiped. Therefore, we only do those things in worship which God has specifically commanded in his word: Singing, Praying, Reading of God's Word, Preaching of God's Word, Giving, Confessions of Faith and the Sacraments (Baptism and the Lord's Supper).
We usually begin our services at their stated time (Sundays @ 10:30 AM) and they generally last 60 to 70 minutes.  We spend the hour beforehand in discipleship and instruction 9:15-10:00 AM
Our services are pretty easy to follow, and after the Opening, we pretty much stand to sing and sit for the rest.

Omaha Reformed Church
proclaims "the Faith once for all delivered to the Saints."
From our Creed and Confessions to the authority of our leadership, everything is regulated by the Word of God.  All that we believe and do is defined by the Word.
We take seriously what the Apostle Paul says is 1 Corinthians 14:40, "Let all things be done decently and in good order."
In another place he said,
"But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed."
Galatians 1:8
We are endeavoring to represent the leading Reformed voices of our times and throughout history.++
  • The clarity and perspective of Dr. R.C. Sproul and Ligonier Ministries.
  • The personal and practical application of the Word of God like that of Alistair Begg of Truth for Life.
  • The passion and conviction in the preaching like that of Paul Washer.
  • The refreshing convictions and insightful perspective of John Piper.
  • The understanding and illustrations of Woodrow Krull and Back to the Bible.
  • The wisdom and relevance of contemporary Bloggers like Kevin DeYoung and Tim Challies.
  • Catechize and teach our youth "The Basics of Christianity and the Reformed Faith."
  • Lead the members of our congregation to grasp the flow and progress of the story of redemption from Genesis to Revelation.
  • Be a Lamp whose flame burns bright... that is being a prophetic witness of the Truth and Righteousness of the Living God.  The Light of God's Word shines brightly on the sins and depravity of our culture.  Light and Truth are bound to clash with darkness and Satan's deceit.
  • Through all this, believers will grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
